Sarah Hankinson

Illustrator Sarah Hankinson was born and is currently living in Melbourne, Australia. She studied both graphic design and fine art before discovering her love of illustration. Now, Sarah combines freelance illustration with being a mum to her two small boys. Sarah captures the pulse of contemporary style with her artwork, which pairs the energy of watercolor with meticulously controlled line work to portray impulse, form, and silhouette. Her work balances light and dark to create striking illustrations drawn with a harmonious combination of traditional and modern techniques. Sarah has a love of illustrating botanicals, landscapes, interiors, foods, and fashion.
In 2012 Sarah co-founded The Windsor Workshop, a co-working studio space in Melbourne’s South, which she adores working from alongside a community of creative’s.
