Peter Adams is one of the world’s leading travel photographers. He started his photography business in 1986 working for design studios, advertising agencies and corporate clients.
Gradually concentrating on travel photography, he won the prestigious Travel Photographer of The Year title in 2003. In 2010 he won The London Photographic Association’s ‘Let’s Face It 6’ for a series of six portraits taken in Ethiopia.
Over the years, his search for images has taken him to nearly 100 countries. His photographs are regularly seen as wall art, cards, calendars as well as being found in books and magazines such as National Geographic and Geo. He is a regular contributor to TRVL travel magazine for the iPad. His film work has appeared on The National Geographic channel, in TV documentaries, advertising and Hollywood films such as ‘Contagion’.
He is represented by Lumas Art Galleries (in London, NY, Berlin, Paris, Zurich etc) where his fine art prints are exhibited.
He is author of the book ‘Start Taking Great Holiday Photographs’ & ‘Travel Photographer’ a book for the iPad. Born in London he is now based on the edge of The Cotswolds in the UK.
Peter's first picture entitled 'Burning Flying Fortress, London' - an Airfix model that Peter built at the age of 10. Hopefully his photography has now improved'.
